Ron Miller, the State Representative for the 93rd District of Pennsylvania has proven his leadership abilities and is anxious to lead his neighbors and friends into the future with another term…
This legislative session began with great hope for the future of Pennsylvania. A new Governor and a Republican majority in the House of Representatives presented a great opportunity to address the failed spending policies of the Rendell administration. We fulfilled this promise by passing an on time budget that cut spending by a billion dollars. We also passed tort (lawsuit) reform.
Serving as Majority Chairman of the House Labor & Industry Committee has provided opportunities to address legislation focused on fostering economic prosperity and protecting the taxpayers of Pennsylvania.
Act 1 of 2011 removed the mandate to install sprinklers in single-family residences that would have made it more difficult for Pennsylvania families to buy new homes.
Unemployment compensation reform was passed containing an active job search requirement, as a condition for collecting unemployment, for the first time. We are in the process of rewriting child labor laws and addressing the solvency of the unemployment compensation system.
Much has been done but there is more to do. I appreciate your support so I can continue to be a strong voice for York County.”
